CYO MISSION TRIP 2010

Our CYO Mission Trip 2010 will take us to Cairo (pronounced CARE-oe), Illinois.  The Trip will be from Sat. July 31- Fri. August 6, 2010.  Cairo, is located on the southermost tip of Illinois.  The area has a very high unemployment rate and over 35 percent of the 3000+ residents live below the poverty line.  Our Mission trip is through "Youth Works".  We have done five trips with them the last five years.  In 2005 we went to the Red Lake Reservation.  In 2006 we worked at the Northern Cheyenne Reservation in Lame Deer Montana and in 2007 we served the people of the Osage Reservation in Pawhuska, Oklahoma.  In 2008 we served in a small town of Benton Harbor Michigan.  In 2009 we served in Cortez, CO.  This year we will be in Cairo, IL where we will help with Kids club for two days and have two days of home improvement, like painting and repairing homes.  We may also visit nursing homes and senior centers to work with the elderly in their community.  The following young people will be going on our Mission Trip 2010: Allie Balausky,Anna Bastyr, Liz Berg, Sarah Carlson, Bethany Degner, Ben Eisman, Leah Filzen, Jacob Forster, Joshua Gerdts, Megan Grubish, Carly Guenther, Alyssa Heim, Chelsi Heim, Jacob Kearin, David Kraus, Kelsey Lattery, Kelsey McGaheran, Laura Meyer, Emily Moothart, Matalin Oeltjenbruns, Elise O'Neill, Christine Robbins, Christina Rozeske, Alyssa Rudolph, Megan Scheid, Quentin, Smith, Kory Soukup, Tess Starman and Carli Tellijohn.  The Chaperones are: Tom Soukup, Ron Heim, Tina Heim, Lynn Lattery, Mary Jo Robbins and Dan Bauer.  Please pray for all of them while they are on the Mission Trip.  For more information please call Dan at the office 446-2302 or e-mail at dbauer@charterinternet.com.  Thanks.
